Wednesday, December 2:

"Fatherhood in the 21st Century: From Pregnancy Planning to Parenting." Presented by the National Children's Study Speakers' Series to take place from 3-4:30 p.m. on December 2, 2009, at the Wilder Center in St. Paul, MN.

Robert (Clarence) Jones, MA, Community Outreach Director for Southside Community Health Services/Q Health Connections will address the cultural shifts that are challenging stereotypes of fatherhood and re-defining parental roles and explore the new role men may have in optimizing pre-conception health and family planning.

Following the 45-minute presentation participants will be invited to engage in a small-group discussion to share personal perceptions of fatherhood and suggest next steps to optimizing healthy fatherhood. Saturday, December 5:

AIDS Benefit Concert. Featuring Ari Nahum Jazz Trio and DJ Chris Martin Saturday, December 5th, 2009. 8-1 a.m., Varsity Theater, Minneapolis, MN.

Join students from the Academic Health Center for a glamorous concert and cocktail party at the Varsity Theater to wrap up AIDS/HIV Awareness Week and raise money for an excellent charity.

Tiny Tim and Friends HIV/AIDS programs provides medical, educational, nutritional, and vocational support for HIV+ orphans, vulnerable children, and pregnant women in Zambia.

Music provided by the Ari Nahum Jazz Trio followed by DJ Chris Martin. Anyone and everyone over the age of 21 is invited! Invite your friends, family, etc. Tickets are $15 (includes admission and APPETIZERS). All proceeds go directly to Tiny Tim and Friends. First ticket buyers receive a t-shirt!
